Portfolio Procurement are recruiting for a Head of Supply Chain for our leading Essex based client.

The Role :

As Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading an exceptional Supply Chain to our global customers. My client are looking for a motivated leader, who is passionate about driving improvement in Supply Chain best practice, and who has experience in managing a large team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Accountability for global demand and supply planning and forecasting processes.
  • Ensuring that business planning and forecasting data is correct and supplied in a timely manner to ensure efficient planning.
  • Leadership and development of the Supply Chain Planning, warehouse, and Logistics teams
  • Optimising the end-to-end supply chain to maximise performance in inventory management, lead time and OTD
  • Capacity planning activities across the business in close collaboration with business streams and functions
  • Timely provision of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and business analysis
  • Optimization of inbound material scheduling to ensure it is in line with business requirements and inventory target.

To be successful in this role you must be/have:

  • Demonstrable experience with cutting edge S&OP methods and ideas
  • Previous experience managing a Supply Chain team
  • Previous experience in S&OP planning and process improvement
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Degree or equivalent experience in relevant Operations, Engineering or Business Administration field
  • Demonstrable experience of driving efficiencies and improvement throughout a business
  • Be able to show a commercially and customer facing focus
  • Be able to show a collaborative and inclusive team-based way of working
  • Be capable of introducing new ways of working and driving innovation through the business at pace
  • Able to work at pace under pressure
  • ERP experience
