Job Title: Head of Supply ChainSalary: Circa £70kBased: Office based in Chelmsford with UK travel On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Supply Chain leader to join their team at an exciting time of growth and transformation. The successful candidate will oversee supply chain operations, ensuring that best practices and process improvements are in place to drive business success. As a key leadership team member, you will lead supply chain planning, warehouse management, and logistics operations, contributing to the optimisation of global demand and supply planning. This role will play a crucial part in supporting ambitious growth plans, focusing on inventory management, lead times, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead global demand and supply planning and forecasting processes to support business growth targets.
  • Provide business planning and forecasting data to ensure efficient planning and resource utilisation.
  • Manage and develop the supply chain planning, warehouse, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure integrated business planning across all functions for consistent planning and information flow.
  • Optimise end-to-end supply chain operations, focusing on inventory management and on-time delivery.
  • Lead capacity planning activities in collaboration with different business units.
  • Lead the implementation of key supply chain infrastructure projects.
  • Optimise inbound material scheduling to meet business requirements and inventory goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience with cutting-edge Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) methods and process improvements.
  • Background in supply chain operations within manufacturing is desirable.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Operations or Business Administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving operational efficiencies and business improvements.
  • Strong commercial and customer-focused approach with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to implement new working methods and drive innovation at pace.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally SAP S4 Hana.
