RF Power Production Engineer - Electronics

About the Role

Are you an experienced Production Engineer with a passion for electronics manufacturing and problem-solving? Join a dynamic RF Power Production Engineering team, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the operational performance and continuous improvement of their products. This role supports the entire product lifecycle, from prototype design and production to post-sales support, making a real impact on our cutting-edge RF and electronic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on problem-solving on the production line, including component-level fault finding and structured analysis to identify performance issues.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and supply teams to address technical challenges and drive sustainable corrective actions.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve faults with customer-owned products, implementing improvements to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Offer technical expertise to manufacturing teams throughout the production process.
  • Challenge conventions to drive continuous improvements in manufacturing cost and efficiency.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring flexibility in production lines.
  • Write and maintain clear, concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Support new product development by ensuring designs meet Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) standards.
  • Plan and control the execution of manufacturing changes, including process improvements and product modifications.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for risk assessments, safety procedures, and compliance.
  • Assist the sales team with technical data for customer and project bids.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics test and manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly, manufacturing, and test processes.
  • Hands-on experience with electronics fault finding down to component level.
  • Knowledge of RF and high-voltage electronics, including encapsulation techniques.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in SPC data and calculations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC).

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with ERP/SAP systems.
  • Knowledge of product safety risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Understanding of CI, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality improvement tools.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
