Location: Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 0LS
Salary: £11.57 per hour + Commission!
Contract: Full-time, permanent - 37.5 hours per week

Travel Consultant - The Role
To support the trading activities of Chelmsford Star's travel business through enthusiastic and competent sales advice to customers demonstrating a wealth of knowledge and experience of the travel industry and destinations.
The role involves considerable interaction with customers and requires excellent interpersonal skills.
The role involves interacting with Society staff at all levels and representatives of suppliers.
The post-holder must be able to communicate confidently and clearly.
Key Responsibilities;
Excellent product knowledge and the ability to understand customers' requirements to confidently and enthusiastically assist with the selection of a holiday.
Advise and guide customers regarding holiday locations demonstrating knowledge and experience of worldwide popular tourist destinations.
Have the ability, experience and confidence to assist customers with complex travel itineraries.
Maximise sales in branch.
Assist customers confidently with the purchase foreign currency.
Provide professional and excellent customer service.
Assist with maintaining branch standards.
Adherence to Society policies and procedures.
Travel Consultant - What we need from you
Skills & Experience;
Essential:
Knowledge & passion for worldwide popular tourist destinations.
Excellent communication skills and customer service.
Good accuracy and numerical skills.
Competent IT skill.
Experience as a Travel Consultant.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Tarsc CRM System.
Bureau De Change experience.
