We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Tech Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Chelmsford on a part-time maternity cover basis. This role requires a committed professional to take on the full responsibilities of a Food Tech Teacher, including planning, marking, and delivering engaging lessons to students. Role and Responsibilities:

As the Food Tech Teacher, you will:

  • Teach engaging and creative food technology lessons to students, encouraging them to develop practical skills and knowledge in food preparation and nutrition.
  • Be available to work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, covering a part-time maternity position in Chelmsford.
  • Take on the full duties of a Food Tech Teacher, including lesson planning, marking, and assessing student progress.
  • Ensure a stimulating and safe learning environment for students, in line with the school's standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with the wider school team and contribute to the department's continuous development.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Food Tech Teacher is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the food technology curriculum and confidence in delivering lessons.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage marking and lesson preparation.
  • Ability to work part-time (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays) and start in January 2025 in Chelmsford.
