We need dedicated and motivated individuals to work with us this Christmas to make sure all the letters and packages get to everyone in time for the big day!

My client is seeking detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment to join our team as a Warehouse Operative. This role is crucial in ensuring that letters and packages are sorted and delivered efficiently and safely.

Day to Day of the role:

Unloading mail and parcels from vehicles and sorting them within the warehouse.
Ensuring items are correctly processed and dispatched to their destinations.
Working as part of a team to handle large volumes of mail, potentially sorting over a million items in a single shift.
Adapting to various tasks throughout the shift and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Operating and moving heavy trolleys and lifting mail bags as part of your daily tasks.
Standing for extended periods while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in warehouse or sorting work is beneficial.
Previous experience with distribution companies
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable with switching tasks.
Capable of pushing trolleys (up to 250kgs) and lifting/moving mail bags (up to 11kg).
Comfortable standing for long periods.

Shift Patterns and Pay Rates:

Early: 06:00-14:00 - £12.29 per hour
Late: 14:00-22:00 - £13.63 per hour
Night: 22:00-06:00 - £14.81 per hour
Bank Holiday: £18.44 per hour
