Workshop Fabricator / welder
Due to expansion and growth apermanent hasarisen forWelder/ Fabricator. . Please note that the main base for this role will be Roxwell, Chelmsford
The Role:
Fabrication and Welding of Handrails, staircases, balustrades & structural steel in the workshop
Working hours:
Dayshift07:00 to 4:30 Monday to friday + Overtime
Rate of Pay:£19per hour + enhanced rates for overtime
Primary Objectives
Welding and fabrication In the workshop.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality.Working knowledge structural / secondary steel fabrication works and standards.
Act with honesty, integrity and accountability
Ability to work well in a team
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years experience in the above role.
Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include:
Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG)
Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding
Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel and aluminium.
