Sonic Summary

Global Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder for a temp-to-permanent position in Chelmsford.
The role requires an apprentice-trained, time-served professional with a focus on TIG/MIG welding and fabrication operations.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and Friday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, with a pay rate of up to £19 per hour plus overtime.
Key responsibilities include reading drawings, measuring and aligning workpieces, performing various welding techniques, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Candidates must also pass a fabrication/weld test as part of the application process.

We are looking to recruit an apprentice trained, time servedFabricator / Welderon a Temp - permanent basis.

Location: Chelmsford

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm (Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm)

Rate of pay- Up to £19 per hour + Overtime

Themain duties include :

Read and interpret drawings.
Measure and align workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and callipers.
Perform TIG/MIG welding on materials such as aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.
Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements.
Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes for metal parts.
All Fabrication -
Operate power and hand tools such as grinders, orbital sander, hand drills etc.
Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements.
Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations.
Carry out preventative maintenance and repair.
You will be required to undertake a Fabrication / weld test.
