Mobile Valet/Maintenance Technician
Our client is a family run business established in 1990 for the installation, maintenance and refurbishment of domestic and commercial swimming pools and spas. Their clients now include indoor and outdoor pools, for private clients and for some health and fitness clubs in the SouthEast.
We have an immediate vacancy for an engineering technician. The Technician will visit our clients, valeting the pool and installing, checking and carrying out small repairs to the mechanical systems. The equipment will include filter pumps, sand filters, plastic pipework, small electrics, chemical dosing, heating systems, pool covers and poolside accessories.
The Technician must be competent with good experience and an understanding of mechanical systems. The ability to work on your own is essential as is attention to detail in your work. The successful applicant will be numerate with clear handwriting. A smart appearance is vital as you represent our client to our customers.
After an initial training period the engineer is expected to visit up to 4/5 sites a day, keeping accurate records of work carried out and report back to the office at the end of the day.
The working day starts at 8.00 on site and finishes at 4.30 in the office. Traveltime will be paid for leaving early to arrive at site on time, overtime will be paid for work carried out on site after 4.30. Because of the nature of some of our Commercial clients, occasional very early/late may be required. We also operate a paid weekend callout rota.
- A clean driving license is required.
- We visit some school sites so a CRB check will be carried out.
- A Company vehicle is provided. Personal use is not permitted although vans are taken home overnight.
- Specialist equipment is provided together with a tool allowance
- We provide a subsidised uniform.
- 18 days holiday plus 4 days at Christmas and all Bank Holidays.
As a small, seasonal business all employees need to be flexible in their job responsibilities, including working in our yard/shop.

Pay: 25,000.00-29,000.00 per year
