Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a meticulous and adaptable Assistant Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting duties, providing financial information to the management, and preparing financial reports.

Description

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements daily
• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Providing technical support and advice on management.
• Reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Participating in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
• Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
• Directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Process transactions
• Assist senior finance team members

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant.
• Abilities with Excel, and comfortable
• Familiarity with financial and accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of financial regulations.
• Proficiency in use of financial software.
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
• Ideal candidates will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and great attention to detail
