Our client is offering a rare and sought after opportunity to become an Assistant Treasury Accountant Apprentice in Cheltenham, where you will enter into the fast-paced and rewarding world of insurance finance. They will support you to achieve professional qualifications with the Association of Accounting Technicians to become AAT qualified via the fully supported level 3 apprenticeship route as well as gaining both hands-on experience and a professional certification that will open doors to exciting future roles in finance!

Responsibilities:

- Prepare journals and help create monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Help prepare paperwork needed for investment and foreign exchange transactions
- Support the invoice raising and cashbook completion process each day
- Prepare cashflow forecast
- Run ad-hoc reports for the management team including helping prepare PowerPoint presentations.
- Help prepare annual financial statements
- Any other ad-hoc accounting requests from management to support timely and high-quality financial reporting.
Candidate Attributes:
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow you finance career within the insurance industry
- GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 5 or above (or equivalent)
- Effective communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
