Exciting opportunity within an expanding firm based in Cheltenham.
Our client is a small, dedicated team of four professionals. As their reputation continues to build and they secure more exciting projects, they are looking to expand and bring in a motivated Structural Engineer to help drive their success.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with the company and work on a wide variety of projects, from high-end residential homes to commercial and industrial developments. The firm prides itself on its collaborative environment, proactive approach, and delivering quality results to its clients.
About the Role:
They are seeking a Structural Engineer with 3-4 years of experience to join the team and contribute to a variety of projects across domestic, residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. You'll have the chance to work on both new builds and refurbishments, including high-end residential projects for clients in the Cotswolds, as well as larger commercial developments in major cities like London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working on a wide range of projects, including domestic, high-end residential, commercial, and industrial builds.
- Attending client meetings and site visits to discuss project requirements.
- Taking ownership of structural design elements and collaborating with the team.
- Producing and reviewing designs and calculations, with the ability to "dip in" on AutoCAD drawings as needed (without being the primary drafter).
- Ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality.
About You:
- You'll have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong understanding of UK building regulations and standards.
- Experience using Tekla and AutoCAD is highly desirable, with a basic ability to work on drawings as required.
- You should be proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to "get on with it" and manage your own workload.
- A client-facing individual who is comfortable attending sites and interacting directly with clients.
- Must have experience working in the UK; unfortunately they cannot sponsor a visa at this time.
If you're looking for a role where you can make an impact, be part of a growing company, and work on a variety of exciting projects, this is the opportunity for you!
This role offers great flexibility, including negotiable working from home options. After probation and once your abilities are proven, full-time remote working could be considered, depending on how you fit into the team.
