Are you looking for a facilities maintenance role where you can take ownership? Would you like to work Monday to Friday with no call out or weekend work?

The Facilities engineer has theresponsibility for thefabric of the buildingand site services, in terms of daily maintenance, compliance checks & occasional contractor management. You will be working together with the maintenance manager on a weekly basis.

The position demands a proactive approach to maintenance, a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, and effective management of third-party contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facility Maintenance and Service Management

    • Oversee daily maintenance and carry out preventive maintenance (PM) schedules
    • Ensure that both the internal and external aspects of the facility are maintained to high standards
    • Provide reactive maintenance duties to the fabric of the building
  2. Health and Safety Compliance

    • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations for the facility and third-party service providers.
  3. Planning /Reporting

    • Carry out weekly maintenance plans based on collected data related to preventive, corrective, and ongoing actions.
    • Issue maintenance job orders and maintain records of completed tasks and supplier schedules.
  4. Improvement Initiatives

    • Carry out continuous improvement by supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing facility performance and operational efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of facility management principles, including knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
  • Leadership:Ability to lead teams and oversee the work of third-party contractors effectively.
  • Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills:Proficiency in monitoring KPIs and analyzing performance data to drive improvements.
  • Project Management:Ability to plan, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules and projects effectively.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge:Comprehensive understanding of relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
