HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

JAM Staffing Solutions are recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers on behalf of our client based in Cheltenham.

To carry out waste and recycling collections. Driver would be expected to assist with loading of vehicles as and when required.

This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations while ensuring timely deliveries.

Duties

• Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
• Assist with the loading of vehicles as and when required.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
• Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately for transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service. .

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver
• Valid commercial driving licence (C) is required.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude

Working hours:

Monday-Friday, 06:45-15:00.

Pay rate:

16.16 per hour
