We are looking for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen in an extremely successful and established customer facing multi site restaurant/F & B offer near Stow-on-the-Wold serving all fresh food daily menus.

You will need your own transport to get here!

The successful candidate will be keen, eager and ambitious to join a progressive and developing company serving all fresh en-trend menus. You might be a junior sous looking to step up and be part of the senior kitchen management team.

It is a very busy operation so you will need high volume experience.

Role - Sous Chef

As Sous Chef you will:

  • Prepare and cook seasonal fresh menus
  • Be part of the senior kitchen team with input into menus and the direction of the food offer
  • Motivate, train and develop the team
  • Work in a hands-on capacity leading from the front
  • Control labour and manage wastage, the GP, and all costs & budgets
  • Order and control stock
  • Maintain high standards of service & compliance with company systems & procedures
  • Work closely with the front of house team

Attributes - Sous Chef

We are looking for:

  • Experience gained in high volume customer facing restaurants/hotels/catering operations
  • Passion for cooking using fresh produce
  • The ability to write menus, cost dishes and drive the food offer forward
  • A positive, enthusiastic and outgoing personality and attitude
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to train, motivate and develop your team
  • An intrinsic understanding of legislation and compliance
