Sales Manager - Bespoke Packaging Competitive, with performance incentives

Location: Cheltenham, United KingdomOur Client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our bespoke packaging division. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for owning and achieving annual sales targets, expanding our customer base, and introducing innovative niche products with strong profitability. You will be a key driver in building lasting customer relationships and leading by example within our small, dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and achieve annual sales targets for the bespoke packaging side of the business.
  • Execute a strategic plan to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth.
  • Introduce new niche products that enhance profitability and differentiate our offering.
  • Compile the annual sales forecast and maintain a 12-month rolling forecast.
  • Monthly sales performance reports, track market trends, economic indicators and competitor activity.
  • Assist in developing a 3-year business plan to guide turnover and profitability targets.
  • Oversee creation, improvement of marketing materials, including sales, e-shots, and web content.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with customers at every level
  • Liaise with Operations on monthly work scheduling and on-site projects to ensure service levels
  • Prioritise your workload effectively while supporting a collaborative team environment

Essential & Experience:

  • Proven sales management or business management experience with demonstrable pipline
  • Experience selling to blue chip companies and engaging with stakeholders
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer product specifications
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety requirements, particularly for on-site work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, cloud-based tools OneDrive, SharePoint
  • Experience with work scheduling and cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero) is a plus
  • A results-driven, structured approach with excellent negotiation and communication skills
