Infrastructure Engineer (VMware) | Up to £75,000 + Benefits | Cheltenham | High Level Security Clearance Required | 2 Stage Interview Process
MERITUS are excited to be working with an expanding National Security Consultancy looking to expand their Infrastructure Operations team in Cheltenham.
Their looking for experienced Infrastructure Engineers with strong exposure in the implementation & support of VMware Infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with client Infrastructure teams to maintain secure VMware infrastructure. To be successful you will need strong experience in the implementation & maintenance of VMware Infrastructure as well as experience in the administration of either Windows or Linux servers.
They're based in Cheltenham & require candidates to hold active high level security clearance.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop, deploy, and maintain VMware-based virtual environments to optimise performance and scalability in line with organisational needs.
Proactively monitor virtual infrastructure for performance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
Ensure that VMware environments comply with security policies and best practices, conducting regular audits and updates to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for virtual systems and processes, and provide training and support to team members and end-users on VMware technologies.
Skills Required:
- In depth experience in the build, implementation & maintenance of VMware infrastructure.
- High level of experience in the administration of either Windows or Linux server infrastructure.
- Experience working with highly secure infrastructure & systems.
- Active high level security clearance.
