We are working with a PLC Backed tech scale up who are looking for a skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join their team. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems and servers, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, REST APIs, and SaaS integration tools.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain the companies Azure based Infrastructure
- Designing and implement azure based solutions such as logic apps, platform as a service features and managed container services
- Designing and implementing security policies,
- Building and maintaining a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline
- Build and maintain automation processes using tools like Ansible
- Influencing future systems architecture and technology stack.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is ideal
- Azure experience
- At least 4-5 years experience within a Sys Admin or Azure Infrastructure Engineer role or similar (Azure DevOps)
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and web technologies.
- Automation tools such as Ansible
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary.
Ideally you will have experience with/in most of the following:
- PostgreSQL,
- Azure Functions,
- REST APIs,
- Virtualization/container solutions such as VMware, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Cybersecurity best practices
