Infrastructure Architect - DV Cleared - Contract

BRAND NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE WITHIN A GLOBALLY LEADING DEFENCE COMPANY FOR A DV CLEARED INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT IN CHELTENHAM

• Must hold Active Enhanced DV (West) Clearance to start
• Up to £985 p/day - inside IR35
• 12 month contract
• Cheltenham location - 3 days p/w onsite minimum
• One stage virtual interview - high priority role
• Essential experience in Architecture Design, Leadership, Analysis, Communication

What will the Infrastructure Architect be doing?

Our client is seeking a visionary Architect to drive implantation and design across scalable, secure, and robust infrastructure solutions that support end customer delivery of mission critical capabilities. You'll utilise your deep expertise of infrastructure components, such as servers, networking, cloud technologies, and storage to delivery high quality results.

Key responsibilities include:

• Architecture Design - Create and maintain infrastructure blueprints and roadmaps aligned with client objectives and technical requirements.
• Technology Evaluation - Assess and recommend emerging technologies to enhance system performance, scalability, and security.
• Implementation Oversight - Lead infrastructure projects to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and quality completion.
• Collaboration - Integrate closely with development, security, and operations teams for optimal infrastructure performance.
• Documentation - Maintain detailed documentation of designs, configurations, and processes for knowledge sharing and efficiency.
• Performance Tuning - Monitor and improve infrastructure performance by addressing bottlenecks.
• Security - Design and implement infrastructure with strong security practices and compliance.
• Disaster Recovery - Develop and maintain plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Vendor Management - Oversee third-party vendors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

We need the Infrastructure Architect to have:

• Enhanced DV Clearance to start
• Willing to be on site in Cheltenham when required - minimum 3 days per week.

Key skills required:

• Technical Expertise - High level experience in servers, storage, data centers, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Analytical Skills - Strong strategic and tactical problem-solving abilities.
• Communication - Proficient in conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership - Experience in leading teams, managing multiple projects, and driving successful initiatives.
• Adaptability - Thrives in dynamic environments and adjusts to changing business needs.
