CNC Miller

Cheltenham- Days - Permanent - Fulltime- Salary Circa £32,000

Due to an increasing orderbook, our client Is looking for CNC Miller that can set and operate CNC machines in a precision machining environment, ensuring the top quality within given timescale.

The role:

    • Set and operate Haas CNC VMCs with Fanuc controls in a precision machining environment.
    • Interpret technical specifications - imperial & metric.
    • Self-inspect, including quality, cleaning, and de-burring.
    • Ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.
    • Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary.
    • Always looking at decreasing run times and decreased down times through good set ups and enablement coupled with personal motivation.
    • Excellent attention to detail and possess the drive to learn and develop.

 

The Person:

    • Motivated, highly organised CNC machinist.
    • Manual machining experience (pillar drill, lathe, slotting) - advantage
    • CNC Turning experience - advantage
    • Experience using a variety of inspection equipment including micrometres, verniers, callipers, gauges and Keyence.
    • Experience in sub-contract machining environment.
    • Ability to modify programmes online - advantage
    • Experienced working with aluminium, SS, brass, silver materials
    • Team player with the ability to work using your own initiative.
    • Positive attitude and good time keeping
    • Computer literate, good numeracy, and literacy skills.
