The family - feel company, based in Cheltenham, is seeking a Trainee CNC Machinist to learn how to set, operate and eventually program CNC milling machines to produce high quality, accurate metal component parts made mostly from steel.Trainee CNC Machinist Job Overview:As a Trainee CNC Machinist, you'll gain experience in various aspects of CNC machining, including setting and operating specialist CNC milling machinery.This role will support you in learning to read engineering drawings, use specialist precision machinery to produce high quality component parts, perform quality inspections, learn the basic upkeep of CNC machines and much more.What we’re looking for from our new Trainee CNC Machinist:
  • You don’t need any previous CNC machining experience.
  • You'll need a keen approach to learning and an enthusiasm for developing new skills in an engineering machine shop setting.
  • You’ll need good attention to detail
  • You’ll have to be committed to producing high quality precision work and you’ll need good problem-solving skills to overcome engineering challenges too.
You will receive all the training you need to develop as a CNC Machinist, so your dedication to learning new, often complex, skills from scratch will be the most important thing for you to be successful in this job. You’ll need to be able to work in a team environment and you’ll also need the ability to work independently from time to time.Some of the Benefits:
