Job Description
This company is a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, contributing to safer, more sustainable aviation for current and future generations. They design, test, manufacture, and assemble landing gear used on commercial aircraft, including Airbus and Boeing, as well as UK military aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon. The Gloucester location has been at the forefront of landing gear technology for over 90 years.

What will I be doing?

  • Processing of production components through the Surface Finishes department, including Cadmium, Chrome, Nickel, and Zinc/Nickel.
  • Additional tasks include oven work and cadmium passivation.
  • Measuring both unplated and plated components using micrometers, calipers, and permascopes.
  • Making chemical additions to processing vats as needed.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities.

What do you need from me?
Ideally, you will have completed a processing apprenticeship or have experience in chrome, cadmium, nickel, and zinc/nickel and their associated tasks. Competency in using measuring equipment and understanding technical drawings is essential.
