Premier Engineering is working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business based in Cheltenham who are looking to recruit a Workshop Supervisor to join and lead their skilled team. This role will involve supervising daily operations within the workshop, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.



The Workshop Supervisor will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a workshop or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical or engineering background (time-served or qualification-based)
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and machinery
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage workloads, delegate tasks, and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and quality standards
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment


The Workshop Supervisor role will involve:

  • Supervising and coordinating day-to-day activities of the workshop team
  • Ensuring that production schedules and targets are met
  • Monitoring quality, safety, and efficiency of workshop operations
  • Assisting with training and development of workshop staff
  • Liaising with other departments such as production planning and quality
