Role: Active Directory ArchitectLocation: Hybrid - 3 days on site in Cheltenham, 2 days remote.Duration: 6 months Clearance: SC Rate: max £550 pd inside IR35 We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Architect to work alongside our team in designing and deploying a new on-premises Active Directory (AD) infrastructure. This role will focus on implementing and configuring critical AD components, including Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, and RBAC, to support the enterprise's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with GE Aerospace to design and deploy an enhanced AD infrastructure with new domain controllers and optimised configurations.
- Assist with the deployment and configuration of Entra Connect, PKI solutions, and COTS patching solutions.
- Conduct a comprehensive AD environment discovery and provide recommendations for retaining or rebuilding the AD infrastructure.
- Implement new IP ranges and reconfigure or build AD to support the ".net" namespace.
- Produce AD Discovery and Recommendation reports detailing current architecture, FSMO roles, AD Sites, DNS, policies, monitoring, and more.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Active Directory design, deployment, and migration in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of GPO, DNS, RBAC, FSMO roles, and AD Sites and Services.
- Experience with Entra Connect (Azure AD Connect), PKI, and COTS patching solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment.
- UK-based candidates, able to work on-site 3 day per week.
