A prestigious aerospace company is seeking an Electrical System Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team in Cheltenham. This hybrid role focuses on designing and developing power distribution products across multiple aerospace, military & Civil programs. You'll apply your expertise to deliver innovative engineering solutions that meet customer requirements and business objectives.
You will be focusing on the design, verification, and testing of electrical systems. In addition, you will provide technical support across the product development lifecycle collaborating within a team to meet cost and schedule targets. You will also be engaging face to face with customers, presenting and reviewing technical information where needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in electrical product design and development.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Characteristics
Experience with schematic design tools (e.g., Mentor Capital).
Knowledge of power switching, control circuitry, and safety-critical products.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (EWIS, avionics).
Willingness to engage in military product design and all phases of product development.
