THE ROLE - Electronic Support Engineer
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electronic Engineering professional to join a successful and thriving manufacturing business in the Cheltenham area.
As a Electronic Support Engineer, you will need to be an accomplished troubleshooter, capable of working on more advanced investigations around repair and product failures, and coming up with solutions and updated manufacturing documentation.
You'll be joining a fantastic team that offers a clear career growth plan and opportunity to work on a variety of electronic products in the aerospace and defence sector.
DUTIES – Electronic Support Engineer
- Being the escalation point for failed units.
- Carrying out investigations and root cause analysis.
- Fault finding to component level of electronic products.
- Managing engineering changes and updating repair documents.
- Providing technical support for new products.
- Sourcing alternative materials for obsolete components.
- Continuous improvement of processes.
BACKGROUND - Electronic Support Engineer
- Educated to HND level or equivalent in an electronic engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience of electronic fault finding to component level .
- The ability read and interpret technical drawings.
- A background within a highly regulated engineering environment, ideally aerospace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
