Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham- Valid driving license and access to personal transport essential as the location is not accessible via public transport.

Contract Type: 13 weeks temp to perm.

Hourly Rate: £15.00

Working Pattern: 4 shifts on, 4 days off.

- 2-day shifts: 06:00-18:00.

- 2-night shifts: 18:00-06:00.

Our client, a reputable production company based in Cheltenham, is seeking skilled and dedicated Production Operative to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic and growing organisation known for providing quality products.

As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process. Your attention to detail, ability to handle manual tasks, and willingness to participate in heavy lifting activities will contribute to the smooth operation of our client's production line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Removing reels from the Machine house and transporting them to the appropriate processing areas.
  • Accurate input of data into the Oracle system to track and monitor master roll production.
  • Assisting your team and other departments by fetching resins, waste, and pallets as required.
  • Ensuring safe driving practises around people and machinery.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in designated areas such as Stock Prep, red floor, and pump alley.
  • Keeping conveyor and pulper pits clean to prevent machine operation disruptions and identify mechanical issues effortlessly.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable with manual handling and capable of heavy lifting.
  • IT literate with the ability to input data into systems accurately.
  • Valid driving licence and access to personal transport as the location is not accessible via public transport.
  • Safety shoes are required, and all other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
  • FLT Counterbalance licence is desirable, but not essential, as our client offers in-house training.
