Our client, a dynamic organisation located in Cheltenham, is seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant/Manager to join their small but mighty team. Parking available onsite.
What You'll Do:
As an Accounts Assistant/Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the accounts and office administration functions while supporting the CEO and senior leadership team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Bank Reconciliations: Ensure our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Xero Accounting: Post transactions using our cloud-based accounting software.
- Purchase Ledger Management: Oversee the purchase ledger and support the Accounts Assistant in invoice posting.
- Invoice Processing: Match supply invoices to delivery notes and verify pricing accuracy.
- Credit Control: Manage the sales ledger for B2B and marketing contributions.
- Payroll Preparation: Assist in payroll preparation through external accounts using Planday.
- Month-End Processes: Contribute to the month-end reporting and VAT review on Xero.
- Budget Reporting: Prepare monthly budget reports for marketing initiatives.
- Supplier and Customer Liaison: Maintain day-to-day communications with suppliers, customers, and the leadership team.
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years in an accounts role, preferably with cloud-based accounting systems like Xero.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
- Deadline-Oriented: Ability to meet deadlines while managing your workload independently.
- Excel Skills: Strong numeracy and proficiency in Excel.
- AAT Qualification: Qualified/part-qualified AAT or equivalent experience is desirable.
