Due to significant growth I am supporting a leading Accountancy practice in their search for an Assistant Manager (Audit) for this hybrid opportunity in Chelmsford.

Duties listed below!

  • Overseeing and conducting statutory audits, managing all stages from planning to completion.
  • Taking initiative and ensuring audits are completed within budget while effectively managing the team.
  • Serving as the primary client contact during on-site fieldwork.
  • Leading on-site teams and supporting the supervision and development of team members.
  • Delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Supervising audit teams on-site, reviewing Associates' work, and assisting Senior Audit Managers with project management and client communication.
  • Reporting to a Senior Manager on large, complex audits while also managing a small client portfolio.
  • Ensuring work is completed profitably, on time, and in line with professional standards, meeting both client and senior management expectations.
  • Helping to maintain a structured audit timetable and providing valuable insights for client reports.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Leading assurance and risk management projects, liaising with clients, and preparing detailed reports.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Assistant Manager experienced working within an Accountancy practice. Be interpersonal and able to commute to the offices in Cheltenham for this hybrid and permanent opportunity.
