Senior Manager of Client Services - Insurance
Our excellent, global client is looking for a Deputy Head of Client Services to work closely with the Head of Client Services in driving strategic initiatives and supporting the operations of the Client Services Team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of leadership activities, project management, and the overall efficiency of the team, while also supporting leadership decisions and team alignment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance industry and demonstrated leadership experience.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner and support the Head of the Client Services Team in decision-making and leadership activities.
- Coordinate onboarding of new work and teams, ensuring smooth integration.
- Collaborate in developing the team’s short- and long-term strategies, and assist in their execution.
- Oversee outsource provider performance, ensuring effective service delivery and cost management.
- Coach and support the management team in setting objectives, leading change, and fostering leadership development.
- Lead recruitment efforts and assist with onboarding and talent integration within the team.
- Manage HR and operational risks, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Identify and implement solutions to enhance service delivery and minimise risks.
- Lead and oversee key projects, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
- Handle performance management, ensuring issues are addressed and both overperformance and underperformance are recognized.
- Serve as a role model for leadership, coaching the management team on their development.
- Assist in crisis management and support the Head of the team in navigating unforeseen challenges.
- Drive scalability and adaptability for the team to respond to growth and changes.
- Manage leadership meeting preparation, materials, and action tracking.
- Foster a unified 'one team’ culture with a focus on high performance and client service.
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership skills and experience.
- Solid background in insurance, ideally at operational/senior level.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Hours: 35h per week, Monday - Friday (Potential for some hybrid working flexibility following probation)
Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum depending on experience + benefits including:
