This Cheltenham-based firm is renowned for its exceptional client service and commitment to making every move as comfortable and stress-free as possible. The Your new role As a Part-Time Legal Cashier, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Accounts Manager and Finance Department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Assisting with compliance of Solicitor's Accounts Rules
  • Handling daily banking functions, including bank reconciliations
  • Processing client and office accounting transactions
  • Preparing and posting client bills
  • Managing nominal cheque requests
  • Processing payment runs through BACS or TT and cheque
  • Handling bank transfers
  • Assisting in month-end procedures
  • Processing travel and other expenses
  • Conducting money laundering checks
  • Responding to enquiries from fee earners, staff members, and clients
  • Managing petty cash administration and reconciliation
  • Performing ad-hoc financial reporting tasks

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 years worth of experience as a cashier within a legal environment
  • Experience in a legal or financial environment is preferred, to be seriously considered
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude
