Role Overview:
We are looking for a Fire & Security Surveyor to join our Cheltenham team. You'll be responsible for surveying, designing, pricing, and specifying new fire and security installations and projects. This role requires a proactive multitasker with strong organisational and customer service skills, committed to delivering quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys, design systems, and prepare detailed project quotations for fire and security installations.
  • Create precise engineer project packs and working drawings for each stage of a project.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with Health & Safety requirements, reporting issues to the Health and Safety Coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the Installation Coordinator, project managers, engineers, contractors, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead site surveys, project handovers, and start meetings with engineers and customers.
  • Maintain effective, positive communication with all stakeholders.
  • Assist with project documentation, including datasheets, commissioning certificates, and user manuals upon project completion.
  • Support quality assessment and final handover for completed projects.
  • Coordinate material requirements with the Purchasing Coordinator.

Goals and Targets:

  • Deliver accurate, high-quality surveys and quotes, ensuring profitable installations and strong customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain relationships with both existing and new clients.
  • Work with the service team to transition newly installed fire and security systems into regular maintenance programs.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers, manufacturers, and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and an assertive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general administration.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused, flexible, and able to work effectively in a team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant degree or higher education qualification preferred.
  • Experience in the construction or contracting industry required.
