Location: Cheltenham- outskirts of the city center

Salary: £12.50 to £14.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: 20 hours per week working between Monday-Thursday (hours to be agreed upon interview as the client is super flexible)

Our client, a dynamic organisation based in Cheltenham, is currently seeking a Purchase Ledger to join their team on a temporary basis. This part-time position offers flexible working hours, with an opportunity to contribute to the smooth financial operations of the organisation.

As a Purchase Ledger, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring a smooth supplier invoice process. By utilising our client's Microsoft Dynamics software, you will be responsible for posting supplier invoices to the ledger. Attention to detail is vital as you will need to match invoices to purchase orders, assign the correct nominal ledger codes, and update supplier accounts.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately posting all supplier invoices to the ledger using Microsoft Dynamics software.
  • Ensuring invoices are matched to purchase orders, coded correctly, and assigned to the appropriate nominal ledger code and supplier account.
  • Assisting with the Year End Audit and supporting other team members as needed.
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers and staff members at all levels.
  • Conducting monthly statement reconciliations for suppliers within set deadlines.
  • Resolving queries in a timely manner via phone or written communication with internal staff and external suppliers.
  • Creating new supplier accounts and maintaining accurate supplier records, including bank details and payment terms.
  • Tracking and monitoring invoices for authorisation, ensuring they are returned and posted promptly.
  • Performing audit checks to ensure invoices are accurately posted and returned.
  • Processing expense claims from internal staff members.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
