Crematorium Technician - About the Role:

The main function of this post is the disposal of the dead by cremation and the monitoring of the cremators and all ancillary equipment of Cheltenham Crematorium, and the overseeing of the chapels acting as chapel attendant for Cheltenham Borough Councils Bereavement Service.

Ensuring the bereaved, visitors, clergy and all who use the service receive a first-class experience is essential.There is also a requirement to carry out all business support duties and responsibilities, when required by the business.

Crematorium Technician – You:

- Must be a proactive team member with a positive attitude and customer focussed approach to service delivery

- Ability to work within a crematorium environment, carrying out chapel duties, cremation processes and all associated duties

- Ability to communicate with the bereaved in a calm, polite and sympathetic manner

- Ability to work under pressure and within restricted timescales

- Ability to undertake physical manual activities
