Group Health and Safety ManagerSalary £60-£70k + car allowanceGloucesterGreat local employerThis is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading organisations as a Group Health & Safety Manager.In this role you will be providing leadership on all health and safety matters to minimise risks to the business, achieve compliance with legislation and customer requirements through efficient processes and engage staff throughout the business in achieving a positive health and safety culture.Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the health and safety team
  • Lead the integration of new products and services
  • Reviewing key areas of health and safety risks for the company and implementing processes to reduce these risks
  • Ensuring efficient, effective procedures in place for all aspects of health and safety management
  • Ownership of all of the company’s H&S documentation and H&S training materials to ensure they remain current
  • Monitoring and interpreting changes to legislation
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing reports to the Board of Directors as required

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Possess or working towards Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health
  • Significant experience of managing H&S at a senior level in the construction sector
  • A highly visible, charismatic and motivational leader
  • Self-driven and results-oriented
  • Strong business acumen
  • People management skills and drive to coach and develop other H&S professionals
  • Flexible for occasional travel
