This innovative manufacturing and engineering business in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead our commitment to a safe, sustainable, and compliant working environment.Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with company, legal and industry standards, working closely with the HSE Executive.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Deliver training and coaching to promote a proactive HSE culture across the workforce.
  • Manage environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.

The Person

  • Proven experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental management role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Experience of managing general RA's, DSEAR, Fire RA's, Task based RA's, PUWER programs, COSHH, DSE, and Manual Handling RA's.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK HSE regulations and standards within a high risk manufacturing and engineering based environment.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and driving positive change within HSE culture.
