This dynamic team has grown significantly over the last few years and now comprises 19 professionals. Combining their years of experience and specialist knowledge, the team provides a flexible approach to their payroll solutions, leading to excellent client feedback. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an Assistant Manager to join our friendly team.

We are looking for an outgoing and resilient individual who can help lead the team and provide support to the Senior Manager and Director. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career in payroll and we offer both internal and external training to ensure that everyone reaches their career ambitions.

Assist the Payroll Manager with the daily management of the Payroll team.

? Review payrolls before submission to clients

? Provide technical support to both the team and clients on payroll related matters

? Assist with training new and current team members, and meeting regularly with the team for one to ones

? Support with business development, which may include attending pitches and involvement in production of marketing material

Regularly check client service to maintain service standards and relationships

? Assist with the setup of BACS payments

? Develop and refine payroll procedures

? Proactively keep up to date with payroll legislation and compliance - ensuring the team are fully informed

The person - skills and qualifications

? Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the PAYE system

? Experienced in running multiple payrolls, processing pensions and employee expenses

? Previous supervisory/management experience

? Technical knowledge of Paycircle and Cintra payroll software desired, but not essential

? CIPD qualified or equivalent, desired but not essential

? Committed to providing an outstanding level of service and able to identify potential development areas
