Our Client, a growing HR Consultancy are looking for an experienced HR and Employment Law Advisor to provide tailored advice and administrative support to small to medium sized employers within a variety of sectors.

This role will be remote / home based with occasional travel. Full time or part timehours will be considered for the right person.

A competitive starting salary of £35,000 plus excellent benefits.

The successful candidate will be required to:-

  • Provide accurate, practical advice on employment law and best practice to a variety of clients.
  • Act as first point of contact for clients advising on all manner of issues relating to the employment of their staff on basic to medium level matters such as disciplinary, grievance, maternity, paternity, performance management and contract queries.
  • Complete associated administration.
  • Review HR policies, company handbooks and contracts.
  • Keep up to date with changes in employment law legislation.
  • Ensure detailed notes of advice given are taken and followed up.
  • Support junior members of the team, checking advisory work, providing training as appropriate.
  • Maintain strong working relationship Company Director, flagging any concerns and keeping up to date with high-level work.
  • Visit clients on site if required (ad hoc).

The ideal candidate will have:-

  • Experience within a HR role.
  • CIPD level 5 or level 7, LLB or similar qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long standing business relationships.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence with own vehicle (essential). The role will be predominately home based but will involve occasional travel to client’s sites and a monthly client meeting in Cheltenham.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
