Juice Recruitment are delighted to be supporting there leading client who are a dynamic and friendly company based in Cheltenham seeking a confident and experienced HR Officer

DAY TO DAY:

  • Maintain and update employee electronic & paper records throughout the employee lifecycle always ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the coordination of our recruitment process; post adverts, manage candidate applications and maintain applicant tracking system.
  • Support the onboarding process of all new employees, including the drafting of employment contracts, conducting right to work checks, taking references, desk allocation, booking internal training, issuing of office keys, and supporting with day one inductions.
  • Co-ordinating work experience days/weeks as required including all related documentation and IT requirements
  • Scheduling and documenting key HR tasks/activities in the HR calendar to ensure actions are carried out as required
  • Assist in general HR administrative tasks such as drafting employee letters, diarising for probation reviews etc
  • Assist in monthly payroll preparation, accurately inputting information onto the payroll spreadsheet such as additional days worked, unpaid leave, sickness etc
  • Assist in the benefits enrolment of employees when eligible and cessation of benefits upon termination of employment
  • Input and track annual leave, sick leave, and ad-hoc TOIL arrangements via HR database systems
  • Support with employee and manager queries ensuring a smooth flow of information between HR and employee, ensuring all information is accurate in line with employment law, HR policies and procedures.
  • Arrange external training courses on behalf of fee earners.
  • Co-ordinate the annual appraisal process; reviewing appraisers, scheduling company-wide appraisal meetings and collating appraisal documentation, reviewing outcomes and highlighting any areas of concern to the HR Manager.
  • Co-ordinate the leavers process, acknowledging resignation, notifying the business and external parties (where applicable), arranging, and conducting exit interviews
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and keep up to date with employment legislation through either on-the-job training
  • Contribute to specific HR and organisational projects when required such as HR policy updates etc
  • Understand and able to explain HR policies and procedures
  • Liaise with external agencies, providers etc to support with HR related matters
  • Production of ad-hoc HR reports as requested such as Diversity Survey required by the SRA
  • Provide support to workplace health, safety and wellbeing activities

  • Prioritises the completion of tasks, projects, and goals on time and to a consistently high standard.
  • Previous experience is a HR generalist role is essential
  • Strong administrative skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the general environment and industry in which the organisation operates.
  • Experience in the legal or financial service sector in desirable not essential
  • Able to solve non-complex problems and deal with employee queries, escalating as appropriate, always thinking of the bigger picture
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent (desirable)
