Network and Platform Architect - DV Cleared - Contract

• Must hold Active Enhanced DV (West) Clearance to start
• Up to £985 p/day - inside IR35
• 12 month contract
• Cheltenham location - 3 days p/w onsite minimum
• One stage virtual interview - high priority role
• Essential experience in Platform Design, Technical Leadership, System Performance, Communication

What will the Network and Platform Architect be doing?

In the role, you'll play an essential part in building and designing critical technology infrastructure for a key customer. You'll be responsible for designing and architecting high performance, scalable platforms. The role requires a high level strategic thinker who can lead and innovate technical direction of platform development whilst ensuring alignment with customer requirements and national security.

Key responsibilities include:

• Platform Design & Architecture - Develop and implement architectural vision and technical strategy, designing scalable and robust platforms that meet requirements and integrate emerging technologies.
• Technical Leadership - Provide guidance to engineering teams, lead architectural reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
• System Performance & Scalability - Ensure scalability and performance, address bottlenecks, and develop strategies for load balancing, failover, disaster recovery, and redundancy.
• Security & Compliance - Implement security best practices, ensure compliance, conduct security assessments, and address vulnerabilities.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Stay updated on emerging technologies, advocate for continuous improvement, and adopt new tools to enhance performance and productivity.

We need the Network and Platform Architect to have:

• Enhanced DV Clearance to start
• Willing to be on site in Cheltenham when required - minimum 3 days per week.

Key skills required:

• Classified Systems Design - Experience designing and delivering systems in classified/disconnected environments, with a background in security architecture.
• Enterprise Solutions - Expertise in designing enterprise solutions, including device deployment, management, and authentication.
• Application Hosting Platforms - Experience designing platforms for application hosting, deployment, and development.
• Technical Knowledge - Proficient in virtualization, containerization, DevOps/DevSecOps, version control, and user device OS management.
• Supplier Management - Experience delivering projects using external suppliers/system integrators.
• Leadership&Communication - Excellent problem-solving, strong communication, interpersonal skills, and leadership experience in mentoring engineering teams.
