Senior Systems Verification Engineer - Permanent - Hybrid - 55,000 - 65,000 basic + benefits
Location: Cheltenham

Our client is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to join their Aviation Power team playing a crucial role in the development of electrical power distribution systems for business jets. In this position, you will lead the Systems Verification Engineering team within their Core Electrical Team, focusing on testing and troubleshooting safety-critical software and hardware systems. You will be working closely with senior engineers and be mentored into a technical leadership role, delivering Safety of Flight and Certification verification activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead systems verification for a new electrical power distribution system.
- Manage requirements and interfaces, create design baselines, and support project technical leadership.
- Develop and implement verification and validation strategies.
- Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting in a lab environment.
- Work cross-functionally with software, hardware, and test teams to debug systems.
- Participate in technical reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Previous experience in aviation, automotive, or embedded systems development.
- Experience with Power systems using in Hardware applications
- Degree or HND in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of systems design, requirements management, and verification strategies.
- Experience with test equipment, scripting for automated tests, and manual testing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in team environments.
