Hours: Monday to Friday 37 hours (Early Friday Finish)
We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our clients IT team on a contract basis. The role will involve supporting the implementation of both Local and Global IS projects and digital initiatives within the UK and Asia regions. As part of the IS team, you will provide key support for server infrastructure, middleware, and collaborate with other IS groups to industrialize proven technologies, including building servers, installing applications, and provisioning cloud services to meet business needs and project deliverables. You will also act as the technical resource for assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
o Prepare technical documentation required for project deliverables.
o Assist in preparing presentations for project proposals, feasibilities, and provide project status updates to the PMO and IS Management.
o Create servers, including building OS and services for Windows environments.
o Configure, maintain, and monitor Windows servers.
o Rack and install physical equipment as needed.
o Act as Level 2 (L2) and in some cases Level 3 (L3) support for IS infrastructure, systems, and platforms.
o Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis
o Contribute to the maintenance and administration of data centre hardware, including changes and support
o Participate in the "On-Call" rotation with other IS personnel.
Experience & Skills Required:
* ITIL Foundations Certification or similar.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
* Knowledge of aerospace business is a plus.
* Basic understanding of VMware, NetApp, and Citrix.
* Basic knowledge of various IT/IS disciplines, technologies, and platforms (Infrastructure, databases, mobility).
* Strong attention to detail and rigor in task execution.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Working knowledge of various Windows Server Operating Systems.
* Experience with monitoring tool solutions.
* Proficiency in documentation (specifically related to IS projects).
