Role Summary
Work alongside GE Aerospace Team to Design and Deploy a new on-premises AD infrastructure (GPO, DNS, RBAC etc). Assist in deployment and configuration of Entra Connect, PKI Solution and COTS Patching Solution.

Key Duties
To work under the guidance, control, and instruction of the existing GE team in the deployment of four new DCs to support any AD server moves to the primary UK data centre and the decommission of the existing four DCs. SP to perform a discovery across the AD environment and to provide a recommendation to either:
- Retain existing AD environment
- Build a new AD environment
- Support the ".net" namespace.
Based on the above recommendation SP to support GE in either:
- The reconfiguration of the existing
- The build of a new AD environment
- To support the ".net" namespace.

For additional reference the AD resource will support GE in the following activities.
- ?The deployment and configuration of four new DCs (2 x forest root and 2 x child domain) on new IP ranges into the existing AD environment. Once completed the decommission of the existing four DCs (2 x forest root and 2 x child domain) on the old IP ranges.
- ?AD Discovery and Recommendation report. The technical details to be gathered through the running of "Read-Only" scripts provided by Capgemini but run by GE. The AD Discovery and Recommendation report would include the below. ?
- Deployment Model (Architecture View)
- FSMO and GC Roles
- Functional Levels
- AD Sites and Services
- Servers and Versions
- Network Time Protocol
- DNS/WINS
- AD Trusts
- AD Server & Replication Health
- Users, Computers, Groups
- Group Policy / Kerberos and Password Policies
- Monitoring and Management
- Ports, Protocols, Firewall Rules
- Reconfiguration of the existing AD environment to support the ".net" namespace, or the deployment of a new AD infrastructure to support the ".net" namespace. The recommendation being an output of the AD Discovery and Recommendation report.
