Environmental Compliance and Carbon Lead
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: 45,000 - 81,000 (DOE)

Join a leading defence contractor as an Environmental Compliance and Carbon Lead, championing sustainability, compliance, and environmental initiatives. Collaborate with Compliance, EHS, and Facilities teams to meet legislative and business goals while driving Net-Zero and ESG objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, environmental legislation, and government schemes (e.g., ESOS, SECR).
  • Develop and lead Carbon Reduction Plans and projects to achieve Net-Zero targets.
  • Analyse energy/environmental data to identify and implement impactful improvements.
  • Manage waste systems, including hazardous waste control, reporting, and reduction.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on sustainability for business development teams.
  • Maintain and audit the Environmental Management System (EMS).

About You:

  • Experience managing ISO 14001 systems and environmental audits.
  • Knowledge of Net-Zero strategies, ESG reporting, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Skilled in project management, stakeholder engagement, and business case writing.
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in advanced Excel.
