Insurance Specialist

Cheltenham

£26,000 - £30,000 DOE

Join our global client's Insurance broking team as an experienced Insurance Technician/Insurance Administrator! You will provide effective administrative support to the technical teams and broking divisions You’ll also play a part in analysing cash flow and uncollected premiums, contributing to the smooth running of the company’s central finance operations.

About you:

  • An understanding of insurance principles and settlement processes
  • Prior experience within a similar role/London Market insurance is essential
  • Cert CII qualified is preferable
  • A strong understanding of the general principles of insurance.
  • The ability to analyse and identify key information quickly and accurately.
  • Proficient knowledge of relevant computer systems.
  • Awareness of IBA and broking processes
  • Experience working closely with the London Market
  • Technical, system and communication knowledge required to operate at an Expert Technician level
  • Aptitude and appetite for people management
  • Commit to be in the office at least 3 days per week
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate documents for internal and external distribution
  • Accurately enter and update data on relevant systems
  • Maintain organized digital and physical files
  • Review and update departmental reports
  • Handle reconciliations, payments, statements, and fund allocations
