Data Analyst Contract on site in Cheltenham Day Rate £412 - £573 inside IR35

We're currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Data Analyst to work with our exceptional client in a secure environment, delivering challenging and highly rewarding projects.

This contract role will require you to already hold DV clearance. This contract is based on site in Cheltenham.

Role Description

* Support the ongoing development project by analysing existing and potential datasets to help assure the quality of data being shared through the capability.

* Work with colleagues within the project and Client Ops to proactively reduce the risk of false positives, and when these do occur lead exploratory work to address and mitigate their impact.

* Advise the project lead and service owner on suitability of datasets for use in programme, based on quality, volume and other relevant factors.

* Engage with programme partners to help them understand how to best use the data shared within their systems.

* There may be opportunity/requirement to provide support on relevant tasks beyond this programme.

Skills and Experience

* Experience working with large datasets

* Using data analysis to identify anomalies or errors in data

* Using data analysis to derive unique insights

* Data normalisation

* Strong understanding of core internet protocols and architecture

* Ability to communicate technical data to less technical people

* Awareness of typical activities carried out by attackers throughout a compromise

* Understanding of various statistical models and when to apply them

* Threat intelligence or awareness of SOCs

* Knowledge of sIEMs such as Sentinel

* Knowledge of and experience working with MISP would be beneficial

* Python, SQL, mongo, elastic Grafana, Power BI

* Ability to engage with external partners on behalf of Client.
