Bennett and Game Recruitment, currently have the pleasure of representing a well-established, multi - disciplinary planning and environmental consultancy based in the Gloucestershire area, who are seeking a Senior Town Planner to join their ever-growing team. Our client offers a range of services including Masterplanning, Planning, Landscape Architecture, Ecology and Environmental services.

Over the years this well-established consultancy has developed a strong cliental, and pride themselves in the quality of projects/service they provide to them, therefore are seeking an individual who comes across extremely well and has the ability to form/maintain client relationships. The successful individual will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from individual dwellings through to large, multi-functional schemes. Alongside developing a vast portfolio, the successful individual will have the benefit of hybrid and flexible working, private healthcare, life insurance and a company bonus scheme.

Senior Town Planner Job Overview
  • Assessing the potential of site for a range of developments, identifying opportunities and constraints and advising clients as such
  • The promotion of sites for residential and commercial development through the Local Plan process
  • Preparation and coordination of planning (and associated) applications including the drafting of supporting statements
  • Liaising with internal and external technical specialties, clients and Local Planning Authorities
  • Preparation of fee proposals and management of project budgets
  • Support to more junior members of the team
  • Promote the Company and to market the Company's services
  • Maintain a programme of CPD
Senior Town Planner Job Requirements
  • Degree and/or Masters in Town or Spatial Planning, desirable
  • Chartered Member of the RTPI desirable
  • 3+ years planning experience in the public or private sector
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Project management experience including the management of budgets and invoicing
  • Full driving licence and use of own car
  • Live in a commutable distance of Gloucestershire
