We are currently supporting their recruitment for a Newly Qualified Family Lawyer to join their Cheltenham firm on a full time, permanent contract. We would be particularly interested in candidates who are willing to carry out legal aid work.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background in family law and be passionate about developing their career within this field of work. The successful candidate will be required to have excellent communication skills, a high level of IT proficiency and exceptional organisational abilities to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

Family Solicitors or Legal Executives with up to 3 years PQE are encouraged to apply for this role.

Main Duties:

  • You will be dealing with a varied caseload of family law matters including divorce, finance, and private family law matters.
  • You will be working within an established team and be looking for a successful practice where you can see your career flourish.
  • You will join a supportive and friendly environment along with the opportunity to potential to handle a mixed caseload
  • Maintain accurate records and manage case files efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases and provide updates on legal proceedings.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Qualified solicitor with a practising certificate and experience in family law.
  • Newly qualified
  • Experience in handling family law cases
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to clients.
  • Proficient in IT systems relevant to legal practice management and documentation
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • A compassionate approach towards clients facing challenging personal circumstances
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
