Job Purpose
The Production Planner will be responsible for ensuring the efficient scheduling and coordination of manufacturing processes to meet customer demands and business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in optimising production schedules, minimising downtime, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimise production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
- Monitor material availability, capacity planning, and lead times to balance supply with demand.
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, and Sales teams to ensure alignment of schedules with business priorities and customer requirements.
- Analyse production data to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to maximise productivity.
- Coordinate and manage changes in production plans due to unexpected delays, material shortages, or urgent customer requirements.
- Identify risks in production schedules and propose mitigation strategies.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Production Planner, Scheduler, or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production planning principles, capacity management, and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with IFS planning software is a plus.
