Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Sustainment Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support for products throughout their lifecycle, from New Product Introduction (NPI) to retirement. You will collaborate closely with Operations teams, external suppliers, and customers, ensuring product conformance and driving continuous improvement.Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers and stakeholders across the product lifecycle.
  • Review technical specifications and ensure product conformance to design requirements.
  • Manage major and minor changes utilizing the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) workflow.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Generate high-quality technical documents and reports.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams, external suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and processes.
  • Support NPI activities, including design evaluation (desirable).
Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, or significant industry experience with good educational standards.
  • Demonstrable experience in a technical support/Mechanical Engineering role within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience with design evaluation or NPI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally and work outside of core hours as required to support business priorities.
